Interesting Facts: Dizzy Gillespie was one of the greatest Jazz
trumpeters of all time as
well as one of the major figures in be-bop. He was also a ‘scat’ singer and pouched his cheeks when he played. Dizzy was a friend of the famous Charlie Parker and they played in the same band
together.
